Part of the School of Life 'Sunday Sermon'
programme of talks.
'In Guatemala it is traditional to give tiny
'Worry Dolls' to people who cannot sleep
due to worries. People express their
troubles to the doll in secret and place it
under their pillow. According to folklore
the doll is thought to worry in their place,
thereby permitting the person to sleep
peacefully.
We are 'live incarnations' of these Worry
Dolls. You can hand over your written
confessions and we will physically take
them away from you, which we hope will
emphasise to you the sense of clearing
your mind. For each sermon we respond
to the theme through our dress, with the
aim of getting people to think about the
particular subject of the day.'
